Your price is always lesser than the trigger price for selling stoploss and higher when you place buying stoploss. So for example if you want you your selling stoploss order is only executed in between the 179.50-180 price range than choose Sl in order type and mention the 180 in trigger price and 179.50 in price. You can can also mention the price range by choosing only SL order type. Which ever the best price is available on current market scenario. So that mean is my order is gonna executed at the 180 or below the 180 price. If you choose CNC then you Selling stoloss product type must be CNC. So I bought a stock as MIS so my stoploss product type must be MIS. Now select the MIS or CNC in product type menu.

So first thing I do is right click on the SBIN script and click sell button (F2). So now I wanna place selling stoploss at 180 price to limit my losses. So my order is gonna executed immediately after click on the submit button. So SBIN is highly liquid stock so I choose market order and enter the quantity which I wanna buy. I also make a another post regarding this in future to explain better. Otherwise in inliquid stocks the spread (difference) between Bid (buying price ask by the buyer) or Ask (Selling price ask by the seller) is high so you make a loss cause of highly price difference between bid or ask price. TIP: Choose market order in only liquid stocks. So whenever the that particular price was arrive my order automatically gonna executed. So for in this example the market price of SBIN is 183.50 but I wanna bought it on 182 then i need to choose limit order and enter the that price in price box. So in market order stock is bought is current market price so you not need to enter the price but if you wanna buy a stock at specific price than you need to choose limit order. By default it is limit order so you need to change it to market. In this example i choose MIS for intraday. Now select the order type to market order by clicking order type box. After pressing the F1 key on keyboard or by mouse you will see a blue order window was appear.įirst select the Product type if you wanna place this order for intraday then select MIS in Product window but you wanna carry this position over night then select CNC. So first we bought the SBIN Stock at the current market price by right click on the SBIN stock or by pressing F1 key on keyboard.

So suppose that you bought a SBIN stock at the current market price (183.50) and you wanna place a selling stoploss at the the price of 180 Rupee’s. So I not loss more than my loss bearing capacity. So by placing this stoploss I only loss 2 Rupee’s per share not further more. So whenever the price of that stock decline at 98 or below the stoploss order is gonna activate and send to the exchange. So in this example I bought a stock at the price of 100 Rupee’s and also wanna place a selling stoploss at the price of 98 Rupee’s.
